This guide will walk you through setting up and customizing your MapCosmos widget to generate the installation code you'll need to embed it on your website.

1. Set Up Your Account

To begin, go to MapCosmos.com to either log in to an existing account or create a new one.

2. Add or Import Your Data

Next, you'll need to add your store locations. You have two options for this:

• Manual Entry: Add your locations one by one.
• Bulk Import: Use the import tool to upload a CSV or Excel file with all your location data.

Tip! When importing a file, the Field Mapping tool helps ensure your data is matched correctly. The system automatically detects the headers in your file (like "Address," "Phone," or "Hours"), you confirm they are assigned to the correct fields in MapCosmos, and then simply click import.

3. Customize Your Widget

You can tailor the look and feel of your store locator to perfectly match your brand's theme. Key customization options include:

• Appearance: Adjust colors, fonts, and the overall layout.
• Map Settings: Set the default zoom level, map region, and choose between Google Maps or Mapbox as the provider.
• Filters: Add products, services, categories, custom fields, and much more.
• Localization: Configure multi-language settings to serve a broader audience.

4. Add Custom Fields (Optional)

Enhance your store locator by adding more detailed information. Custom fields can include:

• Parking availability and accessibility information.
• Details about nearby transport hubs.
• Downloadable files like menus, catalogs, or brochures.
• Special tags for unique services such as "pickup," "open 24/7," or "vegan options."

5. Get the Installation Code

Once your widget is configured just the way you want it, getting the code is simple. From your MapCosmos pltform:

1. Open the Map widgets tab from the left-hand side menu.
2. Click on the three dots icon and choose Copy installation code.

The installation code is now ready to copy-paste on your website!
